Let's Talk About Styling Treatment

Let's Talk About Styling Treatment

It's time to dig into another cult-classic, our Styling Treatment! The last time we chatted, we gave a bit more information about our classic Multi-Purpose Pomade, the water-resistant multi-tool of pomades. Now it's time to talk about another tool everyone needs in their hair routine, our Styling Treatment!

Providing hair with a medium hold, our Styling Treatment is the ideal product to help keep hair in place and out of your face. I mean who doesn't want that, right? This week, we had the pleasure of talking with Barber and Owner of Tradesman Barber ( @tradesmenbarber ), Julio Rodriguez. Did we mention Julio is a star-barber by day and bad ass model by night? 🤩 Check out the photos below and let's dive into this classic!

AMBERE: What's your favorite style to create with our Styling Treatment?

JULIO: Styling Treatment is a great option when creating a classic side part with some added volume in the front. This look has stood the test of time and can flatter any head shape.

Ambere: What's your go-to technique in applying Styling Treatment?
Julio: I will often suggest a heavy towel dry with a dime size amount of Styling Treatment and a work through with the fingers for a seemingly effortless finish.

Ambere: Do you pair Styling Treatment with any other product for certain looks?
Julio: I like to pair Styling Treatment with O'Douds Texture Spray, this combo helps achieve a textured beach-y look.

Ambere: What type of client do you usually recommend Styling Treatment for?
Julio: I usually recommend Styling Treatment for a client that wants hold with a low maintenance application.

Ambere: What album do you have on repeat?
Julio: I recently rewatched 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love?", so a lot of Frankie Lymon has been on steady repeat! *Sidenote: Great film, if you haven't seen yet :)*

Ambere: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Julio: I'm gonna have to go with my guilty pleasure on this one, Popeyes! Growing up it was an easy go to for family dinner at the Rodriguez household.

Ambere: What is your biggest accomplishment about your job?
I'd have to say being in a position to lead my team, we've all worked really hard to set the Tradesman standard that this city deserves and its a role that I don't take lightly. I'm still learning every day and really hope I can provide the team with skills they can use in their own career endeavors.

Ambere: What's your favorite quote/saying and why?
One of my favorites is Oscar Wilde's "experience is simply the name we give our mistakes". Sometime ago, I learned to let go of the illusion of perfection and it afforded me the opportunity to find comfort in failure.
